The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all. –Mulan I’ve often been guilty of overlooking the plain for the extravagant, unable to appreciate something for just being.
Nature
Sunset at Baybay Pier

I was in Baybay, Leyte for six days but I only had the opportunity to catch the sunset three times. This is the second time, when we took the students for a photowalk at the Baybay Public Market, which faces the Pier.
Sunset in Baybay, Leyte

Sunset, the first one I ever saw from Baybay, Leyte, a few meters away from our quarters.
Eastridge Sunset

I had the opportunity to shoot at the Eastridge Golf Club today, where Project Corinth pushed on with a golf tournament, bingo socials, some light entertainment and very good food.
Up close and personal
I’ve started using my reverse-lens adapter again, after seeing quite a few macro shots made with this setup on the DPP forum. However I have not been as fortunate as those who have insects for subjects, being someone who is quite wary about insects.
Baby’s Breath
I smelled them before I shot them but the name is not eponymous.
Black on White
Taken while I was hanging out at Sunshine Park, while my son was enrolling himself as a freshman on the other side of the fence.
Sunrise
Taken while on the Lady Jacqueline heading towards Sorsogon. I waited for this sunrise and nature has never disappointed me.
Sunset at the MOA
I’ve seen quite a few photos of sunsets taken from the Mall of Asia, even taken a few of my own. This is one of the shots I have that really show I was at the MOA when I took it.
Beauty in Nature
Her name is Mariko Takagi. This was taken at Balite Falls in Amadeo Cavite, during a seminar shoot with Photographer Rolly Magpayo.
Different Strokes
I accompanied my five-year-old daughter on her school’s educational field trip late in January. It made me realize just how out of touch I had been with nature and animals.
Orange and Green
First time to walk through the La Mesa Ecopark. It had just rained. And it was going to rain.
